Word Bank

Merchanting - A way to make money either by yourself or in a group setting. Buying an item at a low price, and then in turn selling that item for a significantly higher amount to make a profit.

Clan Chat -  A chat that allows users in Runescape to chat with a group of people. In a large clan setting, you may not be able to chat right away. You must ask the Clan Chat administrator to give you a rank so that you may actually be allowed to talk. Abbreviations ( CC, Join My Clan)

Rank- Rank shows what you do in the clan. With a rank you will be able to talk in the clan if you are given the privilege. Everyone in the clan may not have a rank because too many leaders will lead to corruption in the clan. A set of members will run a clan and take comments and questions from clan members and will deal with issues in that manner.

Advertise For Rank - Usually to gain a ranking you must do what the clan administrators say to do. Usually it wont be outrageous but you must prove yourself responsible and worthy enough to be an administrator in that clan. Usually you will just have to advertise for a period of time for a basic clan in Runescape. But with this clan i want to go through extensive training and want people to have extensive knowledge so that others may have a very easy time understanding when asking a ranked clan member a question.

Buy For Max - When a clan first starts out their merchanting escapade the whole clan will have to buy out the item on the Grand Exchange in Runescape, hence making the price increase over a period of time. Every member must buy the item for max and then help get more people to keep buying that item.

Grand Exchange - Runescape's fabulous way of bringing all trade together. People can buy and sell all of their tradeable items there. You can set your price to a low, market, or high price. You can even put your item for sale and have it sell when you are not logged in.

Target Price -  A clan will set a target price for their item's worth to reach. The target price is always higher than the item's price. The target price is the price the clan wants the item to reach so that the whole clan can dump the  item at the same time and everyone can make money.

Dumping - When the clan's item has either reached the target price, or reached a level of no more increase, the clan will be informed to sell the item at a certain time. This is called dumping. It's called dumping because this huge amount the clan's item is dumped onto the Grand Exchange at the same time and the price is still the same.
